O+ Xfinit microSD, RAM, 4G LTE

O+ Xfinit smartphone overview

Announced in December 2015, the O+ Xfinit lets you do more thanks to its ample amount of memory and its ultra-fast 4G LTE connectivity.

A 5-inch 720p smartphone, the O+ Xfinit is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz. Although the product image states 64GB bigger memory, the Xfinit actually has 32GB internal storage. It’s expandable, however, up to 64GB via the microSD slot, and there’s a free 32GB SanDisk memory card included in every purchase. That’s 64GB overall by default. It makes the Xfinit relatively more generous in terms of storage, especially when you consider O+ USA’s other devices (such as the O+ Ultra and O+ 360 HD) having limited spaces available for user content.

The O+ Xfinit sports a number software features that are part of the O+ Innovation. One feature in particular is Peace to Selfie, which allows the user to shoot selfie shots through the 5-megapixel front camera by making a peace sign. The 8-megapixel main camera also recognizes the hand gesture and offers several other advanced shooting modes, such as panorama, HDR, live photo and continuous shots up to 99 shots. Furthermore, the O+ Xfinit offers Air Shuffle–viewing photos and playing music using motion controls without touching the screen–and USB On-the-Go.

Only one color is available for the handset’s rear cover–bronze. Entertainment junkies can play videos in several formats: 3GP, AVI, FLV, MKV, MOV and MP4. The pre-installed operating system is Android 5.1 Lollipop.

What we like about the O+ Xfinit

  • The bigger memory and speedy Internet connectivity is quite valuable for power users with a largely mobile lifestyle.

What we dislike about the O+ Xfinit

  • The unspecified quad-core processor might disappoint.
  • The 2000mAh battery may not be enough for prolonged use.
  • Other smartphones with better features are available at cheaper prices.

What others think about the O+ Xfinit

According to YugaTech, the volume and lock buttons may become dislodged and require repositioning when you remove the back cover. There’s no LED light for alerting the user of new messages and other notifications, even though it’s a common and arguably essential feature in smartphones.
